 Goddamn! All I wanted to do this morning was wake up and watch Tara Reid guest-hosting on The View but George Bush had to go and call a press conference! And of course, ABC went and pre-empted The View in favor of Dubya defended his "war on terror." Does ABC not know its daytime audience? People who watch TV at 11am DO NOT want to see the president's speech on Iraq! They want to see Tara Reid's breast reduction results and catch her hungover on a talk show! Seriously, war on terror? Zzzzz. Bring on the war on TARA! Oops. EDIT: I seriously need to calm down because according to the ABC Website, Tara is not scheduled to be on till TOMORROW. Wait! I'm at work tomorrow! I finally get the whole "ban on skinny models" thing....  Oh man.. PLEASE tell me these are photoshopped. I can't believe they'd let her walk out on the runway this way. LOVES IT! In related news... did anyone catch The Carters on Tyra today? Man... Aaron and Nick are so messed up! Like I really want to root for them -- cause of all the family probs they had -- but they're making it so difficult to like them. They seem like a ticking time bomb ready to explode any minute now. Yikes! (Aaron in particular just seemed really lost and messed up. This is what happens when you start a "singing" career at the age of like 4!) Also -- the Tyra preview showed her asking Aaron about the (played out) Hilary vs. Lindsay thing. But I don't think I saw that part in the actual airing of the show. Did anyone out there watch it? Can you clarify please? (I watched the show while I was working so you know, I may have missed a few things. Can you believe someone had to get shot up in the Bronx when I was trying to enjoy my hour of Tyra?!) The Hogans were also on Tyra today.  Is it just me or is Desperate Housewives getting boring again? I didn't watch the last episode and - gasp! - I'm not even downloading it! I don't feel like I'll be missing much. Blah blah blah Gabby and Carlos fighting, blah blah blah Susan acting ditzy, blah blah blah you SO know Julie is gonna hook up with Edie's un-hot nephew, blah blah blah Tom's annoying baby mama screeching at Lynette (hmm.. there must be a clever Saved by the Bell pun in there seeing as that actress who plays Nora was on SBTB: The College Years).. Did I miss anyone? Oh right, the "main" storyline with Bree and creepy Orson. Frankly, it's beginning to venture into Applewhite territory...which is to say, I don't care what happens cuz I'm totally not interested. Maybe I got it all wrong and this past Sunday's episode was amazing. Did anyone watch it? Care to enlighten me? So who else felt let down by last night's Project Runway finale? None of the fashion week collections really "wowed" me y'know? And everyone's favorite Michael really blew it with his collection. It was straight up trashy. And I can use a phrase like "straight up" because Michael's the black guy in the show and well, he talks ghetto like that. No really, that's how he talks. Anyway, as soon I Michael's collection bombed, I knew Jeffrey would be the winner. He's just more daring and adventurous than Uli and Laura. And like I told my roommate/Project Runway viewing companion, Laura doesn't strike me as a designer. She's more of a boutique owner y'know? I can't imagine her coming up with a different line of clothes each year. Uli, too, had a great sob story. She was from East Germany people! That was like communism and separation and women who took weird hormones that made them incredibly manly and stuff. (Did anyone ever watch that 20/20 special about East German swimmers? Yeah... they set all these world records because they were taking super large doses of hormones that cause them to be strong and fast but also grow facial hair. Yeah..) But aside from the sob story, Uli was just okay as a designer. Sorta boring if you ask me. Which left Jeffrey as the rightful winner. As you may know, I am a big fan of original couplings. I prefer Nick and Jessica over Nick and Vanessa; I'm still hoping hope for Britney and Justin and c'mon, Katie was way better with Chris Klein than Tom Cruise! Which is why THIS makes me so happy. I watched the video at work today and wasn't even embarrassed. Because if Paris and Nicole can reunite, the world is a good place and nothing can phase me. Methinks another pair of "originals" are going to get back together soon. Just look at the signs: Jennifer Aniston dumps Vince Vaughan while Brad Pitt is getting sick of Angelina's bossiness...
