By the way... please CLICK on the ads at the top of this blog. If I get enough clicks I'm spose to get a cheque in the mail. And I'm a very poor graduate student with huge student loans. So please click. More than once. Every day.

thanks.

Hi... I think I'm (sniff, sniff).. I'm moving to Hawaii tomorrow... forever!

So uh, wanna sleep together now?

Worst reason to have sex ever! But still, the montage of Ryan and Marissa getting heavy, Jimmy getting beaten and Kirsten (not) getting drunk was really well filmed and put together. And the last scene with Kirsten reading the letter followed by Julie left standing at the altar? Tres touching and emotional. Julie seemed almost genuinely sad and not like she was cooking up another scheme of hers!

As for the new characters this year, I only have two Maya-Rudolph-as-Donatella-Versace words: GET OUT!!! Jeri Ryan is too creepy! What is the deal with her?! I still can't figure out what her "mystery" is all about but packing away a Cohen family portrait in her little bag was really weird and frightening. And telling the real estate agent that she was moving to "the beach?" Uh oh... methinks trouble's brewing in Newport Beach and she don't look pretty.

And Taylor and Dean Hess? They are SO hooking up backstage at the school musical if you know what I mean. Well, what I mean is that they are hooking up backstage at the school musical. Usually I'm all for the bitchy characters - jappy girls in high school are a TV cliche I really enjoy - but Taylor is just either a really bad actress or a really bad character.. or maybe both. But at least her and Summer's rivalry will bring back the "don't mess with me" Summer we know and love! Yeah for bitchy, black-talking Summer!

Quick thoughts on the past two days of TV:

1. I rushed home from class yesterday to catch Jennifer Aniston on Oprah's 20th season premiere. I thought for sure, Jen would spill something juicy about Brad and Angie to Oprah. I mean, it's Oprah! EVERYONE cries and pours out their heart to her! But alas, Jen just sat there looking pretty and drank champagne and I think, just really wanted to move on from the Brad thing. Good for her I say.. although I really just wanted her to call Angie a bitch or say she still loves Brad or offer to have his children if he returns to her.. or something like that...

2. Oprah may have invited the Hermes guy to apologize to her on her show, but methinks she's still pissed about the whole "They snubbed me because I was black" incident. But did you see the video footage? They snubbed her because she was fat, with no makeup, didn't do her hair and was wearing a VERY UNflattering purple tracksuit! Oprah honey, Cindy Crawford couldn't get into Hermes dressed like that okay? It's not because you were black; it's because you were UGLY.. I mean, underdressed for the posh boutique...

3. Why was there a "rematch" for "Dancing with the stars?" What's done is done! I mean, you don't see obssessed Clay Aiken fans still protesting his loss to Ruben Studdard! Wait...

Still, I tried watching the show tonight but I was just so unimpressed with the performers. They've had like, what, 3 months since the first finale to practise their moves? Yet somehow they still looked really sloppy and unmotivated and... OLD! I'd rather watch the kids on (the very grammatically incorrectly titled) "So You think you can dance" thank you very much.

4. And then there was the finale of (the also poorly spelled) "R U the girl with T-Boz and Chilli?" It's a show where girls compete to record a single and perform on stage with the T and C of TLC. Only it's a show on UPN so you know no one will watch and the winner will probably be unheard from after the finale. I mean, does anyone (beside me) still remember Jessica from "The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliot?" What happened to HER promised single? Tonight's TLC finale show reminded me of all the good ol' TLC hits - Creep, Waterfall, No Scrubs... those were the days... (Fun Tim Trivia: TLC's "Waterfalls" was the first single I bought... on cassette!) The winner of tonight's show, btw, was named "O So Krispie." I'm not kidding. That was the name she used. Remember it because this is the first and last time we'll be hearing from her. No one watches UPN shows.

5. Everyone watches UPN's "America's Next Top Model!" I was so excited for tonight's "where are they now?" show! I mean, it was great to see all the girls from last season again... well, except lesbo-Michelle, because let's face it, she is so weird! And she also had that nasty flesh-eating bacteria on her face last season so you know, GROSS!

Anyway, the show did a nice job of updating us on all the models - all of whom are apparently now in New York pursuing their career. So you know what that means... My camera and stalking kit is ready to go! First stop: Kahlen (who got this punky "choppy" haircut and was wearing really Avril-like cut up clothes but still looked pretty!)

Someone who didn't look so pretty...

Somebody got knocked up... (or is just wearing a very unfortunate outfit...)

They show "Laguna Beach: The Real OC" like every other hour here on MTV. And I watch it every time it's on... It doesn't matter that I've seen the episode a hundred times already, I still get sucked in every airing!

For the record, I've got to say that last night's episode was totally out of sync with every other episode they've shown this year. Okay well not TOTALLY out of sync - Jessica was still acting like a big baby with low self-esteem and obssessive boy issues - but a lot of things just didn't seem right. For starters, why is Kristen still leading Talan on when she doesn't even like him?! I felt soo bad for him, because he obviously bought it. Or maybe he's one of those guys who figure they might as well take the play however they can get it; even if he's being used or treated like crap at least he can say he hooked up with the hot girl. Damn.. I wish I were hot and could play people like that...

Then there was the whole weird business of Alex and Taylor suddenly becoming BFF with Kristin and having lunch with her! Huh? Kristin totally just dropped Jessica from her clique to hang out with Jess' "rival" Alex! High school drama is so fun!

Leave it to Jessica though to bring all this misery upon herself. I'm starting to wonder if her whole thing with Jason is staged. Like why else would she be calling him every ten minutes or keep whining about being with him? I swear the producers were like "Uh Jess, you're sorta boring and there's not much to film with you unless you keep hanging out with the hot guy Jason." And then to play dumb and act scared when Alex confronted her? I was SO hoping for a girlfight. But I knew Jess would be a wuss and back down. But to agree with Alex and call yourself a slut? That's low self-esteem girl. At least pull some hair or scratch her or something! Don't back down and call yourself a slut just to get out of a fight!

Wow. I'll say it again. High school drama is SO fun! I want my own reality show.

It's time to play "Emmy HOT or NOT?"

Here are the contestants:

HOT

HOT

HOT

HOT

(Can't believe she just had a baby a week ago) HOT

(Can't believe she's having a baby in a few weeks) HOT (Can I just I'm loving the new Bennifer?!)

Doesn't look too hot here but we still love her

SO NOT hot

Blends in with the red carpet but we still love her

SO NOT hot but we still (sorta kinda) love her

I was watching "E! At the Red Carpet" all night with Kathy Griffin doing commentary and Star (I'm not as skinny as I think) Jones interviewing the actors. I feel bad that the actors had to feign a "oh you look great too" comment when Star complimented them on their outfits. Star Jones does NOT look good in that... dress... thing.

Wait a second.. I just sat through 5 hours of Emmy Award-ness only to see Teri Hatcher not win, Zach Braff not win, Desperate Housewives not win and Will & Grace not win? And then I had to see Donald Trump sing, William Shatner sing, Star Jones try to squeeze herself into a Barney-purple gown and Rachel Bilson attempt a very predictable "I had a crush on you" joke with Chris O'Donnell? I don't know what to say... except that I loved every minute of it!

PS> How good did Jennifer Love Hewitt?! Finnne.. I'll watch that Ghost Whispering, Tru-Calling-ish, detective psychic show JLH is in!

More from the Clay Aiken Hall of Shame

I don't know what to say anymore... I just don't know...

I just watched 6 hours of the America's Next Top Model marathon on VH1. I sat in front of my TV from 6pm to midnight, getting up only to make myself a sandwich and then again to bring my plate back to the kitchen.

ANTM's new season starts Wednesday! BUT... they have a "Where are they now?" show on Tuesday AND some former contestants are gonna be on the Tyra Banks show this week! Who's excited?!

Holy Kelly Taylor flashback! Charlotte from The OC is totally like Alison - the girl who was obssessed with Kelly on Beverly Hills 90210! For those who don't remember (as if you can't remember the greatness that is 90210!), Alison started cutting her hair like Kelly, following her around, pretending to be in trouble to need Kelly's company, etc. That is totally what Charlotte is doing with Kirsten! So creepy!

I also like how Ryan and Marissa are like the rebels now, all leather jacket wearing for him and hoodie and jean jacket wearing for her. That is totally the first season look, only updated to be more appropriate for third season y'know? And then to show them behind that chain link fence at the end? Whoo... SO Johnny Deep in "Crybaby." Wow. I am totally bringing out the mid 90s pop culture references tonight.

Let's move onto more important stuff - like how I totally have the Death Cab for Cutie song they were planning during the opening scene. Uh, yeah - bought that CD the day it came out. And I'm pretty sure I have the same black with white-outline polo top Seth wore. Must confirm on the OC fashion website...

Finally, let's take an informal poll... between Tim and Joelle (and anyone else who watches One Tree Hill and reads this blog): Does the new girl "Taylor" not remind you of Erika Marsh?! Only more bland looking and less fun to watch. Voting starts now!

Suddenly I'm not so excited to watch The OC tonight anymore.
It's funny how she's so pretty and trendy on the show and then goes out wearing... that.

Anyway the Canadian Idol finale was last night and being STUCK in New York, I was unable to watch it. So shh. Quiet. No spoilers.

Oh who am I kidding? I totally went on the Idol forums at 9:55pm to find out who won! And I am SOO glad it's Melissa and not un-sexy Rexy. I mean, besides being tone-deaf and speaking with the most unflattering accent ever, he kept wearing the same sweaty, ratty baseball cap each week! Gross. You'd think with the fashion budget these kids get he'd learn to pick out something nicer? But apparently the cap was his "lucky charm to win." Ha! Bet he's regretting that right about now!

I wish Melissa success. And I'm talking Kalan-success, not Ryan Malcolm-success. Who? I don't know... (Although if Kalan keeps looking weirder and weirder I'm not sure how much longer his success is going to last)

Speaking of Idol shows and weird looks, I present to you the new and improved Clay Aiken:

Oh... my... gosh... I know a lot of people love Clay but that is SO not a good look for him...

What is Stevie Wonder doing at a Fashion Show? Uh... "I can't see" why he would be there. Snap! Too mean?
I love how Ashanti is trying to show Stevie some sympathy by acting blind too! Now if she could only fix her tone-deafness...

Okay I know people hate it when I prop up Michelle from Destiny's Child over Kelly and Beyonce... but I mean, you have to admit, she looks the best out of the 3 in that pic!

DC3 played their final show the other night although I'm still hoping that they'll pull out a comeback tour sometime soon. And I don't mean BSB comeback either because let's face it, the BSB fans are not... coming back. But I digress... They have a new single out called "Stand Up for Love," which is their "farewell" single on their upcoming Greatest Hits CD. Dload the song HERE

Ashlee Simpson also has a new single and she premiered her new video for "Didn't Steal Your Boyfriend" today on TRL. I'd put up a link for you to dload it but frankly the video sucked really badly. Like SNL-performance sucked. So no link to that.

Best site EVER! It's called "Porn Star or Pop Star" and it's not as easy as you'd think...

Post your results in the comment box to the left and lemme know how you did!

Wow. Nicole Richie is SO skinny that she makes Kelly Clarkson look like a HUGE fatso!
Wow. I can't believe I used the word fatso. That is SO grade three.

Kelly looks really bad in these pics. I mean, she's doing all the right things - smiling, posing, etc. - but still ends up looking bad dontcha think? Note how big her head and arms look compared to Nicole's (For greater effect, click on the pics and see them in a new window).

Now I'm not saying I'm cool or anything... But Rick the Temp totally has the same shirt as me!

The funny thing is, I've been wearing that shirt the ENTIRE SUMMER! If you look at my photo album, 2/3 of the photos show me wearing that t-shirt. And now I'm totally gonna keep wearing it because Rick wears it...!

THE MEGA POST!

Wow. I have not been here in awhile. I blame that on my non-stop partying in New York. I mean, my hardcore study schedule. I mean... never mind. There's no excuse. I apologize to my faithful TV blog readers for not updating. You shall be rewarded tonight with a mega update!

First things first: How happy am I that The OC is back baby?!!!!! Yeah for clever Seth Cohen wordplay, pretend eating by Mischa Barton, fake California coastlines and wifebeaters! Tonight's premiere episode was good. Aside from the creepy Charlotte Ross (who played Kirsten's "friend" in rehab), the way they wrapped out the Trey storyline was well played out. The scene with Ryan saying bye to his brother and then crying on Sandy's shoulder was really well done. More importantly, it helped me decide that I want Benjamin McKenzie's new hairdo... it's like the traditional, good-boy look but still cool y'know? I've also decided that Julie Cooper looks a lot like Lois Lane from Smallville! I couldn't concentrate on tonight's episode cause I kept trying to picture the two of them together!

Okay so maybe those aren't the best pics. But I got tired of looking up "Julie Cooper pictures" after I saw this:
Yikes! ~SHIVER!~

Anyway, I also tried watching "Reunion" tonight after The OC, but it was just... too... boring! I mean, the actors acted like they didn't wanna be there and the script was so choppy! I turned it off after ten minutes.

Unfortunately, I missed the Olsen's Live @ Much. But thankfully, Micah was an awesome friend and taped it for me... Oh right, he didn't. Whatever, not still holding a grudge about it even though it's been a week and a half...

What else have I been watching? Well in a list:
- The US Open (That's right, Tim watches sports)
- Prison Break (starring "Mariah Carey video guy")
- So You Think You Can Dance? (Is is sad that I wish I could have cool hair and dance like Ryan?)
- Family Guy (it's back on TV!!)
- Mean Girls and American Wedding on DVD
- Laguna Beach: The Real OC and if this picture is true I don't even know what to say except HUH?!! The show's been making us root for LC and Stephen and now she's with Jason?! Am I totally missing something? Am I misreading the photo? Am I a little too obssessed with this show?
(pics from my new daily blog visit: pinkisthenewblog.com)

And finally, after my friend Emily sent me a Canadian Idol CD for my birthday,
- Canadian Idol
I've been eagerly downloading all the episodes I've missed since I arrived in New York and Ben Mulroney is still as annoying as ever. Can he please just stop talking already?! (Oh Micah, Hedley was quite good on last night's show I have to admit. Apparently Jacob is married. Not like I read that on the Kalan Porter message board or anything...). Anyway, in case anyone cares, I'm rooting for Melissa because Rex's Newfoundland accent is just driving me up the wall! I have to pause and rewind portions of the show just to make out what he's saying! Damn newfie!

Sadly, I have not been watching "What Not to Wear," even though one of my primary reasons for choosing to attend school in New York was the possibility of stalking Stacy and Clinton (half-kidding). I AM thinking of nominating my reporting and writing prof for a fashion intervention though...

Speaking of professors, I still can't believe I had a transsexual prof last year! Oops sorry, wrong picture.

Speaking of bad pictures... J. OH MY GOD!

This photo made it into all the papers here in New York: It's Brad Pitt carrying around Angelina Jolie's new adopted baby, "Some Ethiopian girl name." Sorry, I forgot her name so I'll just be calling her "Some Ethiopian girl name" for the time being. Whatever, as if she understands English.

Anyway, I think the whole Brad and Jen and Angelina thing is SO over now. But I still like this pic: I'm still Team Aniston btw.

Finally... I can't end a post about the past few weeks without posting the most searched-for picture this month: Sure she looks hot, but I'm so positive she was trying to pull a J.Lo and wear a skimpy dress for publicity and attention. Besides, that whole one-piece-with-holes-bikini look has already been done Eva! And I think Paris looked way hotter! I think I'm sweating a little.

On that note, I'm out. And I promise to update again soon.
