Britney's back!.... right? ![]() A cleaned-up Brit Brit looking pretty in New York last night. Pleeeeeease let her keep this look up! I know it's summertime and it's tempting (for her) to go walking barefoot into public bathrooms but pleeeeeease let that be a thing of the past! Sigh... * * * I wasn't sure tonight whether to watch David Blaine die by being "drowned alive" on ABC or watch Reid die of suicide on the WB's Everwood. Thankfully, neither of them died. Unfortunately, both shows were boring as a result. Not that I wanted David Blaine to die or anything, but I thought he'd at least break the "hold your breath" record of nine minutes! Instead, he only held it for seven minutes. I feel so jipped! (Okay fine, seven minutes is incredibly good. I totally tried holding my breath during the commercial break and after less than a minute I was gasping for air). As for Everwood, Reid suddenly became a main character for like the first five minutes of the show when he attempted suicide and then for the rest of the show he was shoved to the sidelines again, just as he has been for the entire season. It's no wonder he wanted to die! God people, show him some attention! In all seriousness though, I like the way the writers handled such a sensitive issue. I also like the way the Bright-Hannah thing is complicated and serious and not turning into a sappy one episode "I love you and I forgive you" thing. Sarah Drew (Hannah) is seriously an amazing actress! She went from yelling to crying in like under 20 seconds in one scene tonight. So good. I tried doing that during the commercial break and felt embarrassed after realizing my roommate was in the apartment even though I thought he was out. ANYway... American Idol tomorrow. Taylor Hicks has GOT to go home this week. Or Quasimodo, I mean, Elliott Yamin. I'm hoping for a Chris vs. Katherine finale. Speaking of Idol, I heard Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" on the radio today for the rest time. It was good.
