Got my tickets! I'm so excited I can't wait!

So I don't get to watch MuchMusic here in New York and apparently I've missed Devon Soltendieck getting a haircut. Now normally this isn't a big deal but Devon totally relies too much on his hair y'know? And well, is it just me or does this new 'do make him look six years old?

Sigh... I am totally jealous.

Okay, so I sorta feel bad for Britney Spears, but not really y'know? She is getting really messed up! Case in point? THIS slideshow showing Brit Brit almost DROPPING her baby! Oh boy... she needs help stat!

If you don't stare too long, this actually looks like a (could it be?) cute picture of Sean Preston Spears! But then you zoom in on his face and his saggy cheeks and the frazzled woman holding him and the pic becomes less cute...

So they cancelled Everwood but renewed One Tree Hill. So I'm sad but happy at the same time, but more sad because Everwood was really a quality show! I hear the series finale is gonna be milking the tears... oh boy...

In other spoiler-related news, rumors are that Mischa Barton will be killed offa tonight's episode of The OC! She even confirmed it last night on Access Hollywood! Not sure what to think about this... I mean, her character WAS getting very annoying but still, can Rachel Bilson's girl-next-door looks carry the show on her own? Methinks we need another hottie to the cast..

Oh and American Idol? I'm not watching it anymore because Chris got cut. Well, and because my roommate moved out and took the TV and I actually can't watch it anymore. But still, I'm bummed about the Chris thing.

Anti-Christ, I swear. This is so freaky I can barely watch it again. But also, so cool.

Wow. Most awesome picture ever. I can feel the celebrity-ness zapping at me.. it's like they're holding hands to transmit some super hollywood force of some kind

And then there's Ryan Cabrera who ends up looking like.. well.. this:

It looks like a bad photo from the 80s but apparently it was just taken last week. Ugh.

So I wrote a story about immigrant women and their hair, as part of my "Immigrant America" course here at journalism school. A lot of African women talked to me about weaves and wigs and such and I never really understood what they meant... until I saw this pic of Tyra Banks.

This is an an example of a BAD weave; the stitching is clearly visible and her hair is as fake as her... wait... never mind.

Holy Tamyra Gray! How did Chris get voted off American Idol tonight?! Grrr... this is SO season one Tamyra and SO season three LaToya London. Elliott and Taylor are just... weird! I'm not sure who's voting for them because every time they're on screen I feel like throwing up: half from Elliott's ugly facial mannerisms and half from Taylor's spastic "dancing." Hmm.. so I guess they're getting the bullimic voters.

I totally wanted it to be a Katherine and Chris finale. People who say it's about "the music" are ignorant, because let's face it, it's about the whole package nowadays. Sure, ET (Elliott and Taylor, although unironically also the name of an alien...) have good voices but can you honestly picture them selling magazine covers and making music videos for TRL? There's a reason why Ruben Studdard has failed. So now my hopes are pinned on Kat. Because if it's an ET finale, god help us all.

Annnd so much for Britney's big comeback. It's official y'all: Brit Brit's pregnant again. Oy vey....

Britney's back!.... right?

A cleaned-up Brit Brit looking pretty in New York last night. Pleeeeeease let her keep this look up! I know it's summertime and it's tempting (for her) to go walking barefoot into public bathrooms but pleeeeeease let that be a thing of the past! Sigh...

* * *

I wasn't sure tonight whether to watch David Blaine die by being "drowned alive" on ABC or watch Reid die of suicide on the WB's Everwood. Thankfully, neither of them died. Unfortunately, both shows were boring as a result.

Not that I wanted David Blaine to die or anything, but I thought he'd at least break the "hold your breath" record of nine minutes! Instead, he only held it for seven minutes. I feel so jipped! (Okay fine, seven minutes is incredibly good. I totally tried holding my breath during the commercial break and after less than a minute I was gasping for air).

As for Everwood, Reid suddenly became a main character for like the first five minutes of the show when he attempted suicide and then for the rest of the show he was shoved to the sidelines again, just as he has been for the entire season. It's no wonder he wanted to die! God people, show him some attention! In all seriousness though, I like the way the writers handled such a sensitive issue. I also like the way the Bright-Hannah thing is complicated and serious and not turning into a sappy one episode "I love you and I forgive you" thing. Sarah Drew (Hannah) is seriously an amazing actress! She went from yelling to crying in like under 20 seconds in one scene tonight. So good. I tried doing that during the commercial break and felt embarrassed after realizing my roommate was in the apartment even though I thought he was out.

ANYway... American Idol tomorrow. Taylor Hicks has GOT to go home this week. Or Quasimodo, I mean, Elliott Yamin. I'm hoping for a Chris vs. Katherine finale. Speaking of Idol, I heard Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" on the radio today for the rest time. It was good.

Big OC NEWS people! Someone is getting killed off in the season finale and all signs point to... Mischa Barton!

I was sad about this for like a second before I came to my senses and was like "good riddance Marissa!" She's done nothing but whine and cry and whine and cry some more for the better part of two seasons (minus the couple months of lesbian action) and her character's really boring anyway. Plus, apparently Mischa's become a big diva on set because she thinks she's better than The OC. I hate it when people forget that the show is what made them famous to begin with (I'm talking to you Kelly Clarkson!).

Who do you think is getting killed offa the OC?

I swear these are new photos of Jesse McCartney. They were taken last week but doesn't his new haircut make him look like five years old?

I know this is wishful thinking but Lois and Clark belong together! Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain are both single and judging by these pics, the two of them hooking up would not be a bad idea... They look good, no?

Finally, shout out to Queen Latifah for wearing Roots! Now I personally have not bought anything from Roots since like the eleventh grade, but hey, if Americans wanna be jumping on the Roots bandwagon, go for it!

Something is really wrong when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's official site, advertising their line of "tween" clothes at Walmart, suddenly starts asking their tween visitors who their favorite couture designer is. I love how they're advertising "tye dye" t-shirts and strawberry body spray and then asking kids to vote for Badgley Mischka and Vera Wang.

As for why I was surfing an MK&A website... um.... I was doing, er, research. Yes.. research.

This is good. This is Rihanna's amazing video for her new single, "Unfaithful." (why do I feel like the Montreal radio stations are JUST playing "SOS" as her new single?) Anyway.... Unfaithful is the new song and vid. It's moving, mature and beautifully done. Watch it now!

Don't even try to test me people because I WILL win. If ya wanna try to top my *perfect* score, click HERE and take the Boy Band quiz for yourself.

ETA: Sadly, after filling out the quiz, I've found myself even less interested in boy bands now. I think I overdosed on them back in the day. And by "back in the day" I mean last year.
