To the person who found this site searching for "rich kids at McGill," you've got it all wrong! I am not a kid.

To the person searching for "Benjamin McKenzie Wife Beater": I really hope you were talking about Ben's preferred item of clothing, wife-beater (one word), and not hoping to uncover his shady past or something... Also, to the person who asked "What brand is Benjamin McKenzie's wife-beater?" I have no answer for you... but please, let me know when you do find out the answer!

Finally, to the people who arrived here after searching for "Matte Babel," the MuchMusic VJ: Why the heck would you be searching for Matte Babel? There are not enough zzzzz's to describe how I feel about him. *Awkward*

Gasp! Paige Davis has been fired from Trading Spaces! Fired!

Even though I haven't been as faithful a Trading Spaces viewer as I was in the past, I still can't believe that they would fire Paige, especially since she was the only SANE one on the whole show! First Ty left, then Vern and Gen... there's no one good left! If this means more episodes for Hildi and Frank then I am definitely trading shows! Ewww.... Hildi...

Anyway, read about Paige's departure HERE.

Who's ready for some dirt? I am!

Click HERE to read about Paris Hilton's love letters to Nick Carter recently being exposed! And by exposed I mean.... never mind.

And then click HERE to read about "Pray for Clay day." I am not even kidding and trust me, I want this to be a joke. But Clay Aiken fans actually gather together each month to pray for him! Oh... my... god.

Finally, the "Razzie" award nominations have been announced. "Razzie" is short for raspberries and these awards go to the "worst" films of the year. Nominees include Catwoman, Raise Your Voice and Britney Spears' cameo in Farenheit 9/11.... three more films to add to my "MUST-SEE" list! (And I am not even kidding about this either... I'm a sucker for bad movies!)

PS> Nimah, can you please return my Glitter DVD?

Wow. Talk about a close race! And what a shocking race this was! One Tree Hill shocked us all tonight by featuring a lesbian storyline - complete with confusing emotions, lots of awkward looks and a girl on girl kiss! Yes, that's right, just when all the hype had swung to The OC, One Tree Hill beats them to it by introducing a lesbian character first! But man, as Joelle pointed out, One Tree Hill only beat them by two days! The OC doesn't air till Thursday and even still, the previews for OC don't look that promising. And by not promising, I mean I don't think any girls are kissing. One Tree Hill 1: OC 0.

Okay... who get all excited tonight after The OC? Lez-be honest here...

I mean, holy Cynthia Nixon! Mischa Barton + Olivia Wilde = wowza! From their first "You're outta toilet paper" encounter at the bar to the final scene where they shared a blanket on the couch, I had this huge grin pasted onto my face. Even my roommate came in to watch those scenes with me, even though he had already watched the episode a few hours earlier. We can't help it. Nor can the millions of guys out there who are salivating at the thought of Marissa and Alex giving into the temptations of a girl-girl relationship.

As a Christian, we're taught that any same-sex relationship is wrong... but I'm sure God can make an exception in this case. I have this guilty yet giddy feeling while watching this relationship unfold. I know I should think it's wrong, but it's so fun to see what happens y'know? It'll be interesting to see how the OC writers take this storyline. Here's hoping that Marissa the Lesbian is less Rosie O'Donnell and more Portia de Rossia...

Man... What the h-ellen degeneres is going on here?! Too many thoughts in my mind right now... But lez not go there! ;)

I am off to read my Bible and pray because I feel incredibly guilty for using the Lord's name in vain so many times during the past two hours. I couldn't help it! I was watching American Idol and the singers were so bad that "oh my god" and "jesus!" were the only responses I could muster up!

I can't even begin to list the "standouts" - and it's sad when "standouts" on an American Idol episode mean the really bad/stupidly funny contestants - but that last girl? Whoa. *crazy!* Voices in her head? BulGING eyes? Weird throaty noise? I swear Simon's eyes were darting side to side looking for security because that girl looked like a psycho!

I really thought that this year people would PURPOSELY be bad so they could get their 15 minutes a la William Hung. In other words, I thought there would be people auditioning who didn't care about singing but would just put on a dumb costume and dumb act just to appear on TV. But - oh my god - these people who were bad actually BELIEVED they could make it as singers! They weren't even acting! That is so sad... and so hilarious to watch!

I also thought the judges and Ryan Seacrest would get on my nerves this year, but again, I actually thought they were all really funny! And now that Ryan's toned down his metro look, I think he's more fun to watch y'know?

So some of the more memorable characters were the boxer girl (who I can't believe didn't get in!) and the woman who sold her wedding ring to make the trip to Washington to audition - I swear her husband beats her! He looked like a hick wife abuser! My friend Beatrice thinks she doesn't really want to go to Hollywood to be a singer, she just wants to get away from him!

I can't believe I'm sucked into American Idol... again. Sadly this is all I will be doing every Tuesday and Wednesday night from now until May. If you need me, I will be on the couch staring at the television. Or burning in hell for using the Lord's name in vain.

God help us all.

How much do I love Desperate Housewives?! (The show, not like, actual housewives). I have to admit that I was flipping back and forth between Housewives and the Golden Globes tonight, mostly doing the flipping during the weird creepy quasi-romance storyline between Bree and her pharmacist guy (NOT interesting). But when Mike's shady past was brought back up again... whoa. Whaddaya mean he's "killed before?!" And who is that ex-girlfriend he's searching for? I think we're all 'spose to believe it's "Dana" or whoever, but wouldn't it be weird if Mike's supposedly dead ex-girlfriend was still alive... and one of the main characters... like Edie?! Totally random hypothesis, but just putting it out there. And as for Edie, who else let out a loud "AHH!" when she threw Mrs. Huber's ashes at Susan?! I've been coughing all weekend because I'm sick with a sore throat and cold but I'm pretty sure the two coughs I made during the scene were out of disgust and shock. Eww.

* * * * *

How much do I love black people?! They always have the BEST reactions... to like anything. But give them two new houses on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and they will scream like Emancipation all over again! It was SOOO touching to see how excited the family on tonight's episode was. I could really sense that they were truly grateful and in complete awe of what they were receiving. I don't think they've ever felt so rich and so blessed. It was sad in the beginning because the old mom said that she felt ashamed showing the TV cameras around her house because it was so run down and (for lack of a better word) ghetto. So when they opened up the doors to her new master bedroom and let her inside, she was so so excited. It was a wonderful feeling to share in, even if I was just sitting on my couch watching the events unfold on TV...

One thing though: How forced was the whole engagement and wedding bit? It was as if the ABC producers said, "We're building two houses? Well then they BEST be getting married and moving into them!" I mean, poor girl only got to wear her diamond engagement ring for like a day! She didn't even get to show it off! REEEE-FUND!

How much do I love Teri Hatcher?! She is so infectiously happy and I am so glad she won the Golden Globe for best actress tonight! She looked gorgeous and (dare I say?) actually healthy in her shimmer white dress. And her speech was touching and funny and sweet. For someone who was supposedly "washed up," she's sure making a strong comeback!

So that was her Golden Globe Awards dress... but Teri's also gracing the new issue of FHM this month... in a different outfit... wow...

Also cute (but in a non-threatening, non-FHM sorta way): Emmy Rossum who plays Christine in the Phantom of the Opera movie. She just has this sweet, innocent look to her y'know? Not all evil and devil-ish like Nicole (must force a smile even though I didn't win an award) Kidman or Renee (I'm trying the goth look) Zellweger (how bitchy did the two of them look tonight? Geez!) And while we're on people who looked bad tonight - what the heck was wrong with Lisa Marie Presley? She was not smiling AT ALL when she was presenting that award! *weird*

I realized that I'm most popular on Thursday nights. I got three phone calls in the span of like an hour last night! Granted, they were from people desperately reminding me to tape The OC for them, but still, I am SO popular! (And SO used...)

Anyway, not much to say about OC (apparently my friend Lillian pronounces it "O-ck") last night except that I'm pretty much as dumb as Summer. Case in point: When Zack's sister was going on about Kashmir, the state, I rolled my eyes at how uninformed Summer was to mix it up with Cashmere, the fabric. "Summer is SO dumb!" I thought to myself. "I can't believe she doesn't know where Kashmir is - it's where the whole Iraq war started!" And then of course Zack corrected us both by telling us it's a disputed area between India and Pakistan. Oops. (I did, however, catch Zack's error of naming Kuala Lumpur as the capital of Indonesia, when it was in fact, the capital of Malaysia). Okay, so I'm not THAT stupid.

Not much else to note about the episode, although Summer's reason for liking Zack ("He looks just like that Abercrombie model!") was a clever shout-out to the dearly departed Chris Carmack (Luke). Chris of course, is on all the A&F bags/posters/signs, etc. I actually have a couple Abercrombie bags with him on it (Not that I tried selling it on ebay or anything...).

Finally, as Elijah so helpfully pointed out in my comment boxes, Alex is damn hot. Like she has this weird squinty thing with her eyes, but still, HEL-LO! Fall in love with Marissa already girl! My hormonal anticipation is getting to me! Like when I asked my roommate how the episode was before I watched it and he responded by saying "it was gay," I seriously got excited because I thought he meant it was the lesbian episode. He just meant it wasn't that good. Oops.

Britney Spears sent me a holiday card with her wedding photo on it... I'm not even kidding. Now before you get all jealous (and before I invent some story about how Brit and I are bff), I got the card because I'm a member of her fan club (I swear I joined way LAST year!) and I guess she sent these out to everyone. The thing is, I saw the same cards being listed on ebay for $100! Whoa. =0

GASP! OMG! Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have separated!! This is so sad! Read about it HERE

People have GOT to stop blaming Julie Cooper for everything! Blame Jimmy for leaving his daughters and not giving a solid reason for his departure other than "Maui! Maui!" I mean, how was it Julie's fault that Jimmy cheated his clients out of their money? And how come it's so bad for Marissa's parents to be getting back together? That would make them a family again... and isn't that what she's been moping about for the past half season? I dunno, but I felt really sorry for Julie tonight. I mean, she just wants to be loved! (*single tear*)

Marissa still bugs me but I have to admit that her scene pleading for Jimmy to not leave her was touching... (*two tears*) But calling your mom a slut and your dad a cheat? Not touching. And her chemistry with DJ? Definitely not touching (each other).

Line of the night goes to Summer this time: "Eww. Your breath smells like Marissa! You've been drinking!" (But speaking of Summer, why are the show writers STILL trying to push that "vibrating at a high frequency" thing on us? We didn't think it was funny 5 episodes ago and it's still not funny now people!) You know what else wasn't funny? Summer's ugly goodwill flower dress.

Make Tim feel jealous line of the night? Zack mentioning that his family vacationed in Cabo over the holidays. MY family vacationed in Cabo over the holidays too! Sans moi! Grrrr...

And as for Seth and Ryan? Only Ryan can wear wife-beaters okay?! And while I agree that Ryan is becoming more Seth-like (Ie. he actually talks now), the way he headlocked Lindsay and THREW her onto the bed during their "kiss" reinforces that Ryan Atwood is still the bad boy on the show.

So where was all the lesbian stuff? C'mon, let's get to it already! ;)

I saw Phantom of the Opera yesterday. It was really good. I mean, some parts were cheesy (as in, reminiscent of faded 80s David Hasselhoff videos) and the guy who played the phantom wasn't that great a singer... BUT all in all, it's a great movie to watch. I love musicals and the songs in Phantom are all really grand and pretty. I watched it with my friend Emily and I swear we almost broke into an impromptu duet of "All I Ask of You" as we were leaving the theatre. And while critics have poopoo-ed the directorial choices as being tacky, the lead actors have all received acclaim. In fact, Emily Rossum, who plays Christine was nominated for a Golden Globe. And while my beef with her was that she was too plain and boring (a.k.a. not hot), she had a gorgeous voice and I suppose her "innocence" suited the character well. The actor who plays Raoul, meanwhile, looks like Ashton Kutcher with longer hair. That is to say, he was good too. But the person who steals the movie is surprisingly, Minnie Driver. Yes, that Minnie Driver. She plays a bitchy Italian diva and she is so funny and deliciously campy in her role. It serves as a humorous foil to the dark and serious tones of the film.

I've never seen the Phantom of the Opera musical so I wasn't sure what to make of the plot. It's definitely dark and moody and the ending is not quite as finite as some of the more well-known fairytale romance stories. But it's still one of those movies that deserves to be seen... and on the big screen too. It's grand and sweeping and the music just serves to make the film even larger and grander. So yes, go see Phantom of the Opera (Hey it sounds smarter to say you watched Phantom than say, Meet the Fockers right?)
