I watched "Ugly Betty" tonight. And it was beautiful. I can sorta relate cuz I'm trying to break into the magazine industry and you know, I'm ugly. So yeah, I liked the show. It's really, "me."

Is is just me or are the reality shows really boring this year? And as much as it pains me to say this, I think I miss the villains Project Runway is zzzz without Santino and ANTM is zzzz without Jade. Yes, I said Jade. And well, Laguna Beach is just not the same without Kristin. I almost stopped watching Project Runway entirely this year. And if it wasn't for seeing Jeffrey at Chelsea Market where I work, I would have. But since I saw him, I sort of feel like I should continuing watching. But for the record, I'm rooting for Michael.

As for Top Model, I really think Canada's version was much better. Sure we have uglier girls, but the fact is, hardly ANY models are hot nowadays. They've just got weird bone structure. If you looked at photos from New York Fashion Week, the models were just tall and dull-looking. They weren't supermodel-hot like back in the day. I also think Canada's Next Top Model had cooler photo shoots. Did you SEE the wigged-out shoot this week on ANTM? What...the...heck? I dunno how the models could stay so serious when they had a weave spinning on their head. So who are you cheering for anyway in this "cycle?" I seriously have no favorites if only because I feel like I've seen it all before. I guess I'll root for the Indian chick just cuz us minorities gotta stick together like that.

One reality show I have continued watching is Hogan Knows Best. And I really like Brooke Hogan's single, "About Us." What I don't get is how she went from looking like this:

On the show she was all "I don't want to be judged on my looks and I don't need to lose weight to impress anyone." Now she's on the cover of this month's FHM. And lemme tell you, they don't put fat girls on the cover. So either there was major airbrushing done or Brooke caved in and Nicole-d herself.

You know.. because the song is catchy and the video has such an inspiring message and not at all because Paris dressing up as a sexy schoolteacher totally fulfils one of my fantasies...

Shut UP!

According to THIS article, girl group All Saints is preparing a comeback! What?! (That's an excited "what?!" by the way, not a "what?!" like "What the hell?!!") I loved their songs esp. "Never Ever" and um.. well.. the other ones they released... and I'm excited to see what their comeback single's gonna sound like.

Okay raise your hands. How many of you now have "Never Ever" stuck in your heads now?

I love how Fergie sings this sexual song in front of a bunch of middle-aged housewives in The View's audience. Look at those two old ladies standing near the front of the stage. They're like "This...is...so...not my type of music but let's just pretend to be "hip" and "with it"..."

So THE CW is officially launched! I for one am tres excited if only because my favorite shows from The WB (One Tree Hill/Smallville) and my favorite er.. show from UPN (America's Next Top Model) have combined on one network. First up was the season premiere of ANTM.

I'm sad that Naima-look-alike was sent home first. I really thought she took a great picture. I realized tonight they pick contestants more of their back story than on their actual potential. There were a lot of pretty candidates who would've been great models but they didn't have a foster care story or secret illness or illegitimate children.

Meanwhile... I'm getting sick of Tyra Banks. How you gonna tell your models to act all fierce when you-a-come-out looking like this hot mess girl? (That was my Tyra impression)

Her photo smile is so strained, no?

Dare I say, i actually liked CANADA's Next Top Model more? Sure we have uglier girls, but I thought our photoshoots were incredibly unique and editorial. ANTM seems to be re-doing the same thing every year. None of their photoshoots are really that edgy or interesting anymore. And Tyra is just too much. Calm the personality down! Reel it in girl, reel it in.

So I love reading Details Magazine. My friend Peter says it's a gay mag, but I really don't think so. I think it's just targeted to the men-formerly-known-as-metrosexuals. Anyway, they have a hilarious column at the end of each issue that pokes fun at its "gay" image.

This month's feature is called "Gay or Cyclist" and it well, makes fun of Lance Armstrong and his "best bud" Matthew Mc. Read it HERE and tell me how much you love the inneuendos and plays on words.

One Tree ewww... I love Sophia Bush but this dress does NOT flatter her at all. She looks fat, no?

My new fav crush of the moment: Emily Harper, who plays "Fancy" on NBC's... um... Passions. What? I've had some free time during the afternoon so I've caught a few eppys.
