Wow. You know your popularity is on the decline when no one even hears about this news: Kevin Richardson has left the Backstreet Boys! He quit the group earlier this year, apparently, although the news just came out recently. How did no one talk about this?

In other news, what does everyone think of the new Jessica Simpson single? It's too 70s disco for me although it's a perfect summer song. I hate to keep supporting Britney, but Brit Brit did a song just like this one on her Britney album. I guess now that Britney's faded from the spotlight, her leftover songs/outfits/etc. went to Jess.

So... I wake up every morning at 8am to get to work by 9. It's actually a lot of time considering work is only one subway stop away from my house. But sadly, something has come uip that slows me down and makes me late: TBS shows "Saved by the Bell" reruns every morning between 8 and 9!

At first I would just leave the TV on for background noise as I was getting ready. But now I actually SIT DOWN to watch the episodes. This is not good. It's just that last week they were showing the Zack and Kelly Wedding in Las Vegas episode and I was just... so... enthralled. I couldn't turn away!

In other SBTB news, how sad is THIS? Screech is selling t-shirts to raise money to save his house! Ai yai yai....

Okay, I must say a few words now about the Britney Spears interview on Dateline the other night. Actually I only have five words: GET THAT GIRL A PUBLICIST! Someone needs to set her straight and clean her up! Chewing gum during a big interview? Wildly teased bleach blond hair? Purple lipstick? Terribly ill-fitting clothes? This is just gonna make Britney more of a laughing stock as opposed to garnering public sympathy.

And is it just me or does Britney seem.. well.. stupid? She just spouts cliche after cliche ("Love conquors all," "That's America for you," "I just wanna be me") and she had repeated use of air quotes. Does she even know HOW to use air quotes? And I am sick of her making her "silly pouty face." You all know which face I'm talking about right? When she's trying to be funny? Arghhhh.

It's sad because I still root for her and I think she can have a successful comeback. But with each (mis)step she takes, the chances of Brit returning to her glory days are getting slimmer and slimmer. Or in her case, fatter and fatter.

I never thought I'd say this but I miss Lauren Sanchez!

She was the host of "So You Think You Can Dance" last summer but this season she's been replaced by Cat Deeley, a British import. Cat is just soooooooooo boring. (said in British accent:) It's quite dreadful really. She's all-ful!"

Maybe it's Cat or maybe it's the lack of star dancers, but this year's show is just lacking all around. Only the hip-hop routines are exciting and even they're not as good as last year. Is it just me?

Sadly, there isn't anything else worth watching on Wednesday nights so I guess I'll stick with 'Dance for now.

Last thing: Can I just say that "So You Think You Can Dance" is the most gramatically incorrect title ever?! There should be a question mark at the end y'know? I guess the journalist in me cringes every time the credits roll...

So I'm not gonna post the Brangelina baby pics because you've probably a) already seen them on tv or the newspaper and b) apparently some websites are being sued for posting the pics online. Not that this lowly website would get sued or anything but you never know...

I WILL post, however, these amazing pics of Avril Lavigne, who is looking better and better with each photoshoot she takes.


Now why couldn't we get people like Avril on Canada's Next Top Model? Instead, we get REALLY amateurish girls who are totally lacking star quality and ugly as shite.

See what I mean? I liked Dawn and Sylvia, but unfortuch, they were the first two eliminated. As for the token asian "Sisi?" Oh... my... god. She can't speak Engrish and her "poses" are SO bad! And we though Gina on America's Next Top Model was a bad asian? Ai yah!

The lack of updates is explained by the fact that I haven't had cable in three weeks and once I moved into a place that DID have cable, I didn't have internet.

But now I'm back with a nice treat: Paris Hilton's DEBUT SINGLE! It's called "Stars are blind" and it's not what you might expect from Paris. It's definitely very summery and reminiscent of Gwen Stefani. Give it a few listens and it'll grow on you. And then tell me what you think.

Meanwhile... as you all know, the WB and UPN have merged into the CW. Yeah, I don't get it either. But the "stars" of the CW came together recently for a party.

America's Next Top Model winner Danielle and Tyra "I swear I used to be a top model but I just let myself go" Banks. I really do like Danielle because she's fun and pretty but I don't think she stands out enough to make it in the industry. If I saw Danielle walking down the street I probably wouldn't turn my head. And if I saw Tyra walking down the street looking like that I WOULD turn - turn and run away. She looks scary!


Skeezy McSkeeze and Hilarie Burton. If I were Chad Michael Murray's publicist I would tell him to lose the beard because it only makes his already-bad-image look worse.


Then there were 60-year-old Smallville stars, Erika Durance and Michael Rosenblum....


And finally, the "men" of the CW... and that kid from the Chris Rock show. I love how Chad Michael Murray tries to act all tough and portrays this "real manly" image and yet he's the shortest one there. Alright alright, enough CMM bashing for the day.
