So apparently Lindsay Lohan is back with Wilmer Valderama. Do we even still care? I've lost count on HOhan's number of boytoys and I'm pretty sure she has as well.

I can picture how this will go down. The two of them will take lots of red carpet pictures together to convince us that their relationship is back on track and as hot as it's ever been. Then they will announce an engagement mere months after dating again. And then they will sadly announce they have split up just before they are due to get married.

That's the Hollywood way people. They tease you with romance and engagements and marriage and then they just call it off, just like that.

Speaking of...

I'm thinking Cheap Wedding Favors for cheap celebrities.

Rachel Stevens and Ashanti have a dance-move pose off. Unfortunately for Ashanti, she loses. Big time.

Hot Maria Sharapova!

Hot Jessica Simpson! (on the cover of this month's W Magazine which I am SO buying)

Did Randy Jackson really say that American Idol would be won be a guy this year?

Uh....

Er....

I don't know about you, but I think it's gonna be girls all the way! And by girls, I really mean girls and not say, young ladies. The best female singers this year are Keshia Chant-.. I mean, Lisa Tucker, 16, and Paris Bennett, 17. Oh and that fat girl who only goes by one name. What is it again? Monifah? Shaniqua? Some black sista name.... Those three are definitely this year's diva trio (you will recall diva trio 1 consisted of LaToya, Jennifer and Fantasia). Other than that, I like Katherine McPhee if only because she looks like a hotter version of Amanda Bynes. Oh and Brenna because she's from New Yawk and we represent like that. Plus I think she's got sass and I love the way she was posing and yapping throughout the show.

As for the guys... I do not understand the hype over Ace Young. He's like Constantine except with twice as much blush on his cheeks. ("He's got these eyes," said my friend Emily as she tried to explain Ace's appeal to me over the phone last night). Em - we all have eyes.

Okay, enough Idol chatter. Here are some pics to make fun of.. I mean, look at, today. The theme is "unflattering photos." You'll see what I mean:

SHOCKING NEWS!

Nicole Ritchie eats a sandwich!

Wow

Less shocking news... so does Britney Spears...

No Madonna. Just no.

Who's the pretty one in this pic? (Note: "Neither" is a very acceptable and understandable option.)

Okay, I just watched the latest episode of There and Back: Ashley Parker Angel and I damn near cried. Wait, correction: I did cry. And it was unstoppable. It's just the beauty of birth y'know? (Ashley's girlfriend had their baby) God I need to man up. *think manly thoughts, think manly thoughts*

On another note, I haven't written about the Grammys b/c I'm still really sad that Mariah Carey didn't win any of the big awards. I mean, U2's album did not yield any hits and it didn't sell nearly as well as their past efforts. But I think something about longevity and Bono's humanitarian work makes Grammy voters love him. If I were MC's manager I'd put her on a plane to Zaire or something just before next year's awards. Or have her take photos with orphans or something.

Kelly Clarkson was also a surprising winner but a great surprise. I'm glad she's maintained her humbleness and she seems so genuine unlike the fake-Asslee Simpson or say, the arrogant Kanye West. I was hoping Kelly would give one of those "when I grew up in the backwoods of Texas" type speeches but she instead delivered a tearful thank you. That's fine I guess, though I still say the "I used to be a hick nobody and now I beat an ex-Beatle for pop album of the year" speech would have worked better.

Other quick thoughts:

1. Madonna looks good for her age! I mean barely anyone can pull off the leotard outfit let alone pull it off at the age of like 50! Too bad the much-hyped "collaboration" between the Gorillaz and Madge turned out to really be one singing after the other.

2. Best quote of the night: Mary J. Blige talking about Maroon 5's Adam Levine: "I like this guy. I mean, you don't read about him in the magazines and tabloids and stuff." Huh! Let's just say Mary hasn't been reading her US Weekly lately!

3. Best retort of the night: "Jessie and I are just friends," said Levine, addressing the Jessica Simpson rumors we thought, until he grabbed Jessie Carmichel (his fellow Maroon5 bandmate) and gave him a hug.

4. Mariah took 'em to church with her performance! I'm not really sure what "took 'em to church" means but she had a pastor and a gospel choir and used the word "Jesus" a few times so I think I'm using it right.

5. Jay-Z + Linkin Park = good. Jay-Z + Linkin Park + Paul McCartney = amazing surprise! All three of them looked incredibly awkward standing next to one another but their cover of "Imagine" was really well done.

6. Best introduction of the night: Ellen Degeneres. "The following performer needs no introduction," she said. And then she walked away without saying anything more. Classic!

7. Most genuine Ryan Seacrest moment I've seen in awhile: Sure Ryan's gotten all divo on us (male diva) since he signed his huge contract with E!. But when he interviewed Fantasia and Kelly on the red carpet, he seemed truly proud of them, like an older brother who's watched the girls grow up before his eyes. Congrats to both Fantasia and Kelly for breaking out of the reality-tv star mold and becoming Grammy nominees! Somewhere, Justin Guarini is wondering just where it all went wrong...

More before and after fun with Mariah Carey!

Is it just me or is Ashlee Simpson looking more like Gwen Stefani and Gwen Stefani looking more like Ashlee Simpson these days?

American Idol alums looking good... (Jennifer Holiday starring in "Dreamgirls" with Beyonce and uh.. some other black girl)

links!

Click HERE to read an interview with Chloe from Project Runway. Chloe and Daniel V. are my favorite two so I really hope they go all the way! (Wait.. I meant, go all the way in the competition.. you knew that right?)

And then - (*said in a very excited voice*) - click HERE to hear Nick Lachey's new single called "What's Left of Me." Whooo sad title right? I wonder who it's about... meh. I don't care anymore. I really hope this is the year Nick's career takes off and Jess is left to nothing but C-list reality shows and "where are they now?" specials.

As for Nick's song, here's the breakdown:
First 30 seconds: OMG. Most cliche lyrics ever! "Watch my life pass me by?" Could you have picked a more overused line?
First 45 seconds: OMG. Doesn't Nick sound like Ashley Parker Angel? He's making his voice all raspy and high and stuff. Maybe it's cuz I've been watching too much of Ashley's reality show...
Chorus: Okay okay, pretty catchy chorus. Sorta like a Hilary Duff or Lindsay Lohan song but still, I'm humming along.
Second verse: Ah ok, now Nick's voice sounds like himself again.
Bridge: Wait.. when Nick goes high he sounds like Ashley Parker Angel again! What's going on?
Chorus: Alright now I think it sounds like a Backstreet Boys song. Complete with quiet section and then huge return to chorus. I can picture the chest thumping/over-emotive music video already...
Last 10 seconds: I like it. The beat is good, the melody is catchy. I dunno if it'll be a #1 hit, but it sure beats "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'"
