How is it that Micah and Azadeh have posted more on this blog than I have? This trend shall surely continue seeing as that a) I am getting increasingly busy with school and b) I have to share a television with a roommate obssessed with watching college football and ESPN every single night of the week. I have lots to write about but I just finished the Smallville premiere (downloaded) and I have to mention something that was SO cool in my opinion: Clark's wardrobe. Loyal Smallville viewers know that Clark always wears a combination of red and blue, usually in some sort of plaid flannel. This is b/c red and blue are Superman's colours (duh!) and so the symbolism is a clever bit of "wink wink nudge nudge" foreshadowing by the writers of the show. However, Clark lost his powers at the end of the season premiere. And if you look at the scene immediately afterwards, he is wearing WHITE and blue!! You get it? Cuz he's no longer a superhero?! I thought that was SUCH a smart (yet subtle) bit put together by the show and I wanted to blog that before I forgot. Other things worth mentioning from this week's TV lineup: - How Lex is totally freaking me out now on Smallville (I was two goosebumps away from getting the shivers after watching him on screen) - How I lol-ed big time when Hannah came out with braids (and "hair that makes a sound") on Everwood's premiere - How I lol-ed (but slightly less than the first example) when Amy's crush turned out to be gay Everwood - How The OC's new public school scenes seemed like bad acting from a public school play... I mean, the whole bit when Marissa started crying by the friends cuz she had no friends? Oh.. my... gawd... lamest piece of acting ever! - How UNsurprised I was that Taylor was "getting disciplined" by Dean Hess on The OC if you know what I mean... (baby girl likes it rough!) hehe - How I actually felt sad for Julie Cooper when she curled up in the fetal position and started crying because she was broke on The OC (at least she had her Louis Vutton purse to cry on) - How Will and Grace met my high expectations for their LIVE season premiere - it was actually funny (esp. when Debra Messing and Sean Hayes cracked up during Jack's shaved eyebrow scene) - How sad I am that this is W&G's last season - How sad I am that Smallville, OC and W&G are all on at the same time on Thursday nights - How sad I am that I haven't found time to watch Jennifer Love Hewitt's new show "Ghost Whisperer"... I mean... no... that's overdoing it a little right? Who honestly in their right mind still likes JLH?! Pssh... (I love you Jen!)
