Whoa. So much happened today in the wacky (yet wonderful!) world of entertainment. First off, it was so sad to hear that Destiny's Child is breaking up for good. I mean, I knew it would happen given that Beyonce and Beyonce's dad were determined from the beginning to promote Destiny's Child (singular), but I'm one of those people who would've preferred them to use the phrase "temporary hiatus" so I could still hold out some hope. Hey, it worked for BSB - new CD drops tomorrow *plug* - so who's to say DC wouldn't come back together in a few years? Alas, they're ending their group career and I'm incredibly sad that I'll miss their final concert in Toronto by one day. I know right? They drop by T.O. August 2nd, but I leave for NYC August 1st. Even sadder? They're opening act this tour is Amerie who I've been secretly crushing on all this summer.

Second big news? As previously mentioned, the Backstreet Boys drop their new CD tomorrow!! C'mon, don't act like you're not excited! Sure the songs all sound the same and they look ridiculous trying to do dance moves as 30 year-old men.. but still, while I'm awaiting the NSYNC reunion, I'm totally buying the BSB CD to bide me some time.

Speaking of boys... the biggest news of the day is that Michael Jackson got acquitted (acquitted means cleared of all charges for those who don't know... Micah..) on his molestation charges. I'm quite upset because a) I was stuck in a meeting with my boss when they announced the results live on the radio this afternoon and b) I honestly think he'll keep repeating this pattern of "friendliness" until he's scared for real. So he's "innocent" according to the jury. But like my brother said today, "he's still a weirdo to me."
