So I missed Canadian Idol tonight to go catch up with a friend who's grandmother just passed away. WHAT a sacrifice on my part eh? Plus it was totally raining and I got wet while waiting for my friend outside. I'm thinking next time I'll just send her a nice note to say hi and some flowers.

Speaking of sad news, the latest spoilers on Joey seem to suggest that David Spade will be added to the cast next season to "liven up" the show. What's even sadder is that the producers think that David Spade is actually funny.

Equally sad (or is the correct adjective, "pathetic?") - Paula Abdul went to lobby congressmen today to put in new regulations to prevent fungal infections at nail salons. I am not even making this up. Remember when Paula sported that huge cast over her hand last season on American Idol? Apparently it was from some infection that I do not care to know about let alone see my elected officials debating.

This is like the worst news day ever... But hey, I saved a ton of money on my car insurance!
