Quick thoughts on last night's programming: 1. TRL I'm so glad that I have MTV! Kelly Clarkson performed her latest single "Since U Been Gone" today on TRL and bad grammar notwithstanding, she was really really good! The song is so catchy and sing-along friendly! It might just replace Ashlee Simpson's "Autobiography" as my favourite sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs-till-it's-not-funny song! (Right Joelle?) 2. Nick and Jessica's Family Christmas Special Okay, I know it's spose to be cheesy humour and I'm pretty sure the audience knows it's spose to be cheesy humour but I don't think Nick and Jessica knew. Like they delivered their lines without a hint of irony! They really thought they were the funniest people ever reciting such "clever" ditties such as: "Nick, I found this magic button that can turn the lights on and off! Wowwww!" (it was the light switch by the way). har har. NOT funny. But the 98 Degrees reunion WAS really good! I forgot how much I used to like them. And even though it seems as though Brian McKnight is on EVERY single Christmas special, his duet with Jessica was nonetheless a beautiful treat. Ashlee Simpson's duet with Jessica on the other hand, sounded more like a solo, judging by the way Jessica's belting totally overpowered her younger sister's backing tape... I mean, "voice." 2. Smallville I emailed my friend Chiachi to ask him for a detailed explanation of tonight's episode because I just did not get it! I mean, what was Lex's dream about? And how did Clark's heat vision suddenly make the vaccine good? Plus I sorta couldn't hear what Chloe was saying in the end, but THIS recap site seems to suggest that Chloe knows Clark's secret!! HTF did that happen?! Answers people, I need answers! 3. I tried watching Jack and Bobby on tape (cuz I had to finish a paper last night) but it was sorta slow and too wordy... and Azadeh and Joelle already spoiled the "surprise" ending for me so I stopped watching the rest of it. Sorry!
