I've started downloading episodes of Laguna Beach: The Real OC and lemme tell you, I am SO inspired!

The show is basically a reality-drama that follows a group of high school friends who live in Orange County as they graduate, plan parties, go through relationship problems, etc. It's supposedly unscripted but there are the usual characters: The nice girl, the slutty one, the bitchy one, the virgin, the jock, the male slutty one, the nice guy, the quiet guy, etc. It sorta weirds me out sometime that I can be so hooked on someone else's REAL life, but whatever, they asked for it but allowing the cameras to follow them.

Anyway, the first episode showed the girls planning a "Black and White" party where they rented out a hotel suite and made everyone dress up in black or white. Now I'm already inviting my friends over for a Christmas party once I get back to the RH, but I was just gonna have it at home. But after watching Laguna Beach, I'm all excited about throwing a "Black and White" party back home for Christmas or New Year's! I mean, what's more fun: sitting on the carpet in bummy clothes at Tim's house or dressing up and doing something more formal at a hotel somewhere?

I swear, I already talked over some ideas with my friend Alex on MSN and have emailed my mom to ask her to book me a party room somewhere nice. I'm also trying to get one of our family friends who does catering to cater my party... with buffet tables, centerpieces, fancy silver trays and everything! Wow... so excited for Christmas!
