I screamed at Oprah today.
Wait, check that, I mean I screamed DURING Oprah today. I SCREAMED because she bought this woman A HOUSE during another "Wildest Dreams" episode. A HO-USE!!!! (okay that was spose to be my Oprah yelling impression but it doesn't work quite as well when it's written down). But anyway, there was this single mom who had three kids and then took in SIX more of her brother's kids. The ten of them lived in a tiny two bedroom apartment, while the mom worked extra shifts at Starbucks to pay for rent, food, etc. So Oprah surprised them with a shopping spree at Toys R Us and I have to admit, I was ready to call Oprah on her usual "I'll do one thing nice and expect it to be enough" routine that she does. But Oprah truly made a difference this time. She bought the family a brand, new HOUSE! I let out an embarrassingly high-pitched scream of disbelief! Like it was SO amazing to see! (I swear I heard a few "shut up down there" stomps from my neighbours upstairs).

I mean, the first "wildest dream" on today's show was already good - this guy got a part on Will and Grace (which btw, had SUCH a funny thanksgiving episode last week that I completely forgot to blog about). But buying the house for the single mom was just amazing. She really deserved it and I'm glad Oprah actually did something that helped the family's struggle as opposed to just giving them a haircut or whatever she normally does. A HO-USE!!! =O

(I'm totally trying to think of what I'd ask for... Can one of you please write to Oprah about me? I'll tell you some sad stories from my life and you can write it up to sound super depressing!)
