Sunday night is fast becoming my favourite night of TV! The writing on desperate Housewives is so sharp and clever and funny! Yet it somehow remains so subtle, not having to rely on gimmicky actions and plotlines for laughs. Oh and before all the relationships in this show go all psych-ward crazy on us, thank god for Lynette's husband (a.k.a. gay Matt from Melrose Place) putting in some effort to make their marriage work. Because between the pretty wife caught cheating by annoying neighbour girl and the whole father-son drugged up on meds bit, I was desperately (haha, like that?) hoping for at least ONE more-normal family dynamic! As for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I always watch it with a cynical mind and try to catch the family at a moment where I can be like "Ah ha! You're totally faking those tears and exaggerating your sob story!" But my cynicism is always overcome by real tears... from the family... and fine, a couple from me. I mean, how perfect was Leann Womack singing "I Hope You Dance" while the family slow-danced in their new Arizona-style backyard?! That is like THE theme song for them y'know? As for Ty, he turned 39 this week eh? Yeah.. he's ALMOST FORTY YEARS OLD! Usually I think it's pathetically sad for 40 year old men to be acting like they're 4 years old.. but Ty is just really fun to watch so we'll forgive him for being a kid sometimes. =) In other news... I'm so sick of seeing the New York Yankees win every year... and I'm sick of baseball coverage delaying my WB shows on FOX!
