I forgot to mention what I did in my popular culture class today... we watched What Not to Wear! I almost let out a huge "YESSS!" when the girl in my class announced that she was showing clips of the show as part of her fashion presentation. Fortunately, I was able to contain my excitement.. but just barely, because I was breaking out into a huge grin the entire time. And when the class started dissing the show for "forcing two people's opinions on someone" and "stealing people's identities," why I almost felt like getting up and declaring something shocking like "THIS SHOW CHANGED MY LIFE!" Or something else... Fortunately I kept my emotions (and reputation) in check and just quietly disagreed. I really had no reason to get worked up about that. What did my class know about fashion anyway? I, on the other hand, purposely wore my "Suits make you look important" t-shirt to class, knowing full well that we were discussing fashion and its effects on society. I come prepared... in style. ;)
