Whoa. That woman on What Not to Wear tonight scared me a little. Did you SEE the look on her face when they threw out her clothes? And her whole "theory" on women being tricked into buying shoes? Sure...

That being said, she served as a good example of a point I made to my friend Azadeh this afternoon - I don't like it when WNTW gives the $5000 to people who already have tons of clothes (as evidenced by her closet!) and/or can afford the time to buy clothes. She said she "worked from home" which is basically a practical way to say "unemployed," so really, she has time to shop. Plus, she didn't like Nick touch her hair and that's like 1/3 the makeover!

I like it when the show gives the surprise to worn-out mothers, or people who hate shopping and believe brand names are "evil", or say, sad-sack individuals who are so poor and ugly that no one wants to be around them. THOSE are the people who should be on the show.

Mmm... I feel like shopping...
