Devon Soltendieck update #4: I don't like Devon anymore.

Sure, I may have professed a slight admiration for his cool Montreal-hip sense of style and savvy musical knowledge in the past, but I'm beginning to think he's pompous. And arrogant. And thinks he's too cool. And well, let's just say I saw his ego all the way from here.

Did you see him interview Simple Plan for the "Welcome to My Life" video shoot? Could he BE any less interested? He held this sarcastic tone throughout the whole interview that by the end, even the Simple Plan guys were like "we know you don't wanna be here and would rather be hanging out with a cooler band." Ouch. Yes, you were that obvious Devon.

I'm also beginning to think that Devon is very rude to fellow VJ Sarah Taylor. Have you seen the looks he gives her when they host together? I mean, just because she's annoying and stumbles over her words and can't string together coherent sentences and is not funny and has really bad afro hair and can't host for her life... does not mean she deserves dirty looks all the time! Besides, she's professed her love for all things Britney Spears so really, how bad can she be?

Then there are his blogs on the MuchMusic website. I think Devon believes it's funny when he calls himself "self-indulging," but poor grammar is no laughing matter. The word is "self-indulgent." Plus, MuchMusic blogs are supposed to be about fun topics, like who Christina Aguilera's humping or whether Jessica Simpson is still carrying her puppy around in an LV bag. Using blogs to advertise one's favourite bands is not fun.

Finally, on a recent episode of Much on Demand, Devon wore a cardigan. (GASP!) I know. I was just as horrified to see my great-uncle's wool... thing... on a once-cool 19 year old Much VJ. That was the last straw!

And that my friends, is why I no longer like Devon Soltendieck. I know, I'm sad it had to end this way too.
