Amazing Race - The good, the bad and the ugly... The Good * Sheree and Monica! Black women are always so funny! Uh huh! * Reichen and Chip - The gay couple - Doesn't it look like they always wanna kiss when they've completed a task but they suddenly change their minds in front of the cameras and just give a wrist-bendy high five? * How much do you love the accent on the announcer guy when he says, "Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode...?" The bad * Tian and Jaree - sure watching hot models bitch and fight was good before, but now they're just getting on my nerves * Thanks god those two old guys got elminated! They were SO boring! The ugly * Why does CBS insist on referring to Millie and Chuck as the "virgins." Instead of leaving it at "dating," like with the other couples, the two get stuck with "dating 12 years/virgins." Proof that TV affects me - part two (in a series) I'm humming this great tune in my head and for the life of me I can't remember what the name of the song is and who sings it? I can't get it outta my head and occasionally during the day I break out into the line, "take a look... and see!" I wanna tell my friends all about this nice song I like... But what the heck is that song? It's the new commercial jingle for Sears. Monday, June 16, 2003
Check out The Toronto Star for a great article entitled "Why TV is good for you." This is the article I've dreamt of writing all my life... Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Overheard from a cut contestant on "Canadian Idol" TV report... "I guess I won't be a Canadian Idol. But I WON'T be a Canadian artist either!" That about sums up the show now doesn't it? Canadians don't want to be the Canadian Idol. They want to be the American Idol. Friday, June 06, 2003
Proof that TV affects me - part one (in a series) I've watched too many Celine Dion Chrysler commercials. I pulled up beside a Chrysler Town and Country van today and I swear Celine's "I drove all night" song began blaring loudly in my head. What's worse? I actually turned to look to the van's window, half-expecting that Celine would be driving, with her baby in the passenger's seat! By the way, they weren't there. |
